From atop the hill on the Pass looking across the Meadows below.
Weathering the Storms.
Go East they Said.
Following the Lewis and Clark Trail East.
Looking North from atop the Mountain, Braving the cold winds as they come out of the south from Idaho. The temperature always drops about 5-10 degrees up here.
The youth of Trees holding there own in the harsh winter storms.
A tough Go of it.
This old boy hanging in there as the winds bring the harshness of cold. Blanketed in the snow covered bows, holding strong.
Contrast of Winds.
Hard to see here but the winds create some really cool designs in the snow drifts. The snow here is fairly soft about 6+ ft deep. i would sink into it about 18 inchs with my snow shoes. made for some tough going.
When Blazing new trail. Never! follow in someone else's foot steps, get a little off to the side you will have an easier time of it.
In Good Company.
Blazing down hill through the Pines and Spruces as the blocked the cold winds from above and behind. so nice down in here.
Looking to the Horizon.
Surrounded by trees above as they circle around me.
The Trails Decision.
It's always fun to decide which paths to take, as i let my curiosity just take me with a certain amount of judgement as to where i am going.
Tree Spears the Heavens.
In the grey hues of the day the trees stand tall and pierce the skies.
Through the Woods.
Just following intuition as i meander with no particular direction. just quiet and solice out here.
Looking Back Uphill
Coming downhill blazing a trails though the deep snows. pretty nice out here.
